Does it get any better than competing in the Jack? Nope. Another dream come true and it lived up to the expectations.

We went back to Covington to defend our title. It didn't work. We had a good time anyway watching our good friend Daddy Pat make multiple trips to the stage. Egg teams finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for the first time ever. It was pretty cool.

It's a pretty amazing task to asemble all of those judges in one place. They had almost 500 teams and judges to match.

It was a dream come true to cook at the Royal. The competition is as good as it gets with every badass in BBQ being there.

Cookeville is always a great contest. Tony Stone does an amazing job of putting this together each year.

Dillard is our favorite contest. It was our first and this was our 4th year to be there.

I had a kidney stone during this contest so needless to say the focus was a bit off . That 51st brisket was the all burnt ends box. That was the second time we've done that, our first and last.
