This was a bittersweet contest. Our good friend Fred Gould passed away earlier in the year and he was a major part of tis contest. I imagine the only time a tear will roll down my face duing a cook's meeting was here. Ronnie Harwell used his booming voice to ask all of cooks one question. "WHERE'S FRED?!".

The rest of the contest was a bit hectic because one of our sponsors, The Culinary Prep, was shooting an infomercial about their product using us and our cook site. We had a great time and the guys were a lot of fun to work with.

We ended up doing extremely well here this year. We won Reserve Grand Championship.

Culinary Prep in Use Here's the Culinary Prep in action tumbling 26 pounds of brisket in our special sauce. This thing really does work and has helped our results. We didn't know it when this was tumbling but it was the first place brisket.

The stage The stage was set. Here's the Mayor of Winchester getting folks ready for the awards. We didn't realize how many trips we were gonna be making to this stage but it was very cool. It's always nice to get to hang out with the BarbeCuties.
